Travel Health Notice for PACCON 2026 Participants

Participants traveling from India or who have visited India within 14 days prior to arrival in Thailand are kindly advised to be aware of the following public health measures.

Due to recent reports of Nipah virus infections in limited areas of India, Thai public health authorities have implemented health screening procedures at international points of entry as a precautionary measure.

Upon arrival in Thailand, travelers may undergo:

  • Body temperature screening
  • Health observation and brief health/travel history assessment

Routine laboratory testing for Nipah virus is not required for all travelers. Additional medical evaluation will only be conducted if symptoms or specific risk factors are identified by public health officers.

Participants who experience fever or any illness before travel or during their stay in Thailand are advised to postpone travel and/or seek medical attention and inform the conference organizers.

At present, there are no reported cases of Nipah virus in Thailand. These measures are in place to ensure the health and safety of all participants.
